Wedding: September 20, 2003

Alan and I took the plunge into married life after living together for 10 years.

The Wedding Ceremony

Casual comfort was the rule of the day, so absolutely NO wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, tuxedos, or suits of any kind were allowed.

Besides, how could we possibly even consider a "normal, formal" wedding -- I mean, the bride has dreadlocks, visible tattoos, and a propensity for wearing Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers; and the groom has a ZZ-Top beard and great legs.

Our most sincere THANK YOU! goes to the following folks, whose friendship truly knows no bounds:

  • Cat O'Connor, who generously allowed us to take over her house and backyard deck for a week prior to and during the wedding.
  • Roxanne Price and Theresa Boracci, who ably handled the scheduling, getting the cake, and decorating the tables and the wedding arch.
  • Shawn Price, who officiated the ceremony with humor and grace.
