My Body Art Addiction
I didn't get my first tattoo until I was over 30. But I seem to be making up for lost time.
Shoulders - Sun and Moon figures from Tarot Cards
The Sun and Moon were done by Tom DePriest at The Original Route 66 Fine Line Tattoo studio in Albuquerque, NM. The Sun was done in July 1996, the Moon in April 1997. They look much more amazing in person than in photographs.
Subsequent lettering around the Sun and Moon were done in October 1997 by Chris Chalk at Route 66. The lettering corresponds to the meaning of each card, which depends upon how it is dealt -- right side up means one thing; upside down means the opposite.

Right Calf - Tribal Turtle
This was the excellent work of Dano, who was working at Hardware in May 1998 when I I had this piece done.
Left Forearm - Dwennimmen
This is an African (dinka) symbol for Strength, Bravery, and Humility. I had it done at Route 66 by Max Washer.
Right Half-Sleeve - Original Design by Manny Vega
Manny Vega at Custom Tattoo Company came up with this design, and I continue to be impressed by it. He's good. He's really, REALLY good, folks. I just gave him some general ideas of what I liked, and he pulled it all together into this awesome piece of art. This took a few sittings, starting in September 2007.
